We try our best to ensure that the doctor you wish to consult is available at the decided appointment date and time. However, in some emergencies, the doctor may be required elsewhere, in which case you could choose to meet another doctor available at the hospital. Our patient advisor team can recommend the appropriate specialist to you. You can also request a consultation over phone or video call, if possible.

OPD appointments generally require a prior reservation, depending on the specialty. However, we also prioritize appointments based on need and urgency of the problem. Appointments for urgent problems can be made when the need arises.

Some specialties may require a doctor’s appointment, while some do not. However, if you have a doctor’s referral in the case of an emergency, you would be able to secure an appointment in a timely manner.

Your appointment would largely depend on your medical needs. However, you can expect anywhere from 15-30 minutes on an average, from the time you meet the doctor.

Any past medical reports or prescriptions is advised, in case the doctor may wish to take a look at them for reference. You can also bring along a list of any conditions you are suffering from, as well as a list of medications along with dosages you are required to take.

In most cases, the doctor conducts a preliminary checkup to determine the condition. He/she may list some medical tests for you to undergo, for further examination, or prescribe some medication to be taken. In case of severe cases, hospitalization may be recommended.

Diagnostic Service

Test results can be collected from the hospital, as soon as they are ready. You can choose to collect it before the follow up-appointment with your physician as well.

We offer a variety of diagnostic tests, ranging from radiology tests, blood work, and more. We constantly upgrade our technology, to increase our range of tests and also improve accuracy.

The results of most diagnostic tests can be collected the next day. However, some tests require a longer time to be processed and analyzed. We work towards providing results in the fastest time possible, and give you an approximate time-frame on the day of the test.

Avoid consuming alcohol or excessive sugar before the test, and make sure to drink plenty of water. Take routine medication on time, unless prescribed otherwise by the doctor. Some tests may require you to fast prior to the test, which will be conveyed in advance by our representative.

A doctor’s prescription with the required list of tests is useful to bring along. In case you have valid insurance, make sure to bring your card and any other required details.

Billing & Financial Support

We accept cash, debit cards, credit cards, online transfers, as well as demand drafts, as modes of payment.

Sai Hospital recognizes and accepts medical insurance from major insurance companies.

For surgical procedures, the estimated bill must be paid in advance, before the procedure commences. Interim bills must be paid on a daily basis. The amounts paid are deducted from the final bill at the time of discharge, and the patient must pay the final amount before being discharged from the hospital.

  1. Deposit Amount for cash /mediclaim patients should be paid within 3 hours of admission or by 10:00am in case of night admission.
  2. Discharge Time – 10:00am (patients admitted at any time will be charged for one day).
  3. Medicines & Eatables Compulsory form hospital.
  4. Charges Need to be settled daily directly to the pharmacy & pathology.
  5. Additional deposits above estimated bills needs to be paid after 2 days for respective class.
  6. For surgical Cases deposits will be additional as per the category of surgery.
  7. For OT: Additional 25% charges will be applicable after 6pm-8pm & 50% between 8pm to 12am. On all Holidays & Sundays Additional.
  8. Mode of payments: cash /Credit card/Demand draft (we Do not Accept Cheques).




  1. If TPA card & I D Proof is not provided within 24hrs, Cashless Facilities will not be issued.
  2. If admission is required, you are requested to pay a deposit of Rs. 10,000(which will be refunded).
  3. If cashless is denied for any reason by the concerned TPA the patient has to pay the entire hospital bill.

You may be required to pay a certain amount in advance, depending on your condition and treatment.

Your in-house TPA desk will guide you through the process of considering medi-claim. Make sure to carry the following documents along with you:

  1. Previous medical reports
  2. Consultation papers
  3. Policy copy
  4. Photo ID
  5. Address proof
  6. Cashless card (if you have any)

Your insurance may only cover certain aspects of your treatment. Moreover, only a certain amount may be authorized from the insurance company, over and above which the patient is required to pay the additional amount.

Getting Admitted

At Sai Hospital, patients can choose from the following categories of wards and rooms:

  • Multiple sharing room
  • Twin sharing room
  • Full Room
  • Deluxe room
  • Single room

Each patient is entitled to have one caretaker by their side throughout, per day, who can be a friend or family member. We have facilities for an overnight stay in a common attendant ward, as well as in the same room as the patient, depending on the room you have opted for. Your room must be vacated once you shift to the ICU, and the attendant is provided with an ICU night stay.

Below are the documents that must be carried along during admission.

  • Filled and signed admission form
  • Patient’s identity and address proof (Aadhar Card/ Voter’s ID/ Ration Card/ Passport/Driver’s License/ Pan Card)
  • Doctor’s prescriptions/ Investigation records (if any)
  • Treatment record of any previous hospitalization

The patient is screened in the OPD by our healthcare consultant, after which admission may or may not be advised. The doctor/ patient coordinator fills in a request for admission, where the preliminary details of the patient are entered. The patient or attendant is then guided to the Admission Desk, where a bed is arranged and any financials are taken care of. Once the admission formalities are completed, the patient can be taken to the room for any necessary treatment or monitoring. In the case of insurance, the TPA Insurance form must be filled during admission, so the claim can be processed.

The total duration of the admission process is between 10-20 minutes. However, it is subject to rush and bed availability. We try our best to get you through the process and arrange a bed as quickly as possible. In the event that your preferred room or ward is unavailable, we suggest an alternative to you.

After Your Treatment

The doctor treating you must advise for discharge, after which the process can begin. The patient/ attendant can complete the discharge procedure, with the help of the nurse, who guides you through the steps. Once all the documents are submitted and payment dues are cleared, the attendant tags must be returned. All the reports and medical summaries of the hospital stay and treatment are handed over to the patient, which is the final step of the discharge process.

A discharge summary of your time in the hospital will be handed over when you leave. In the event of a delay, the reports can also be sent by post to your mailing address.

For in-patients, the next follow-up date will be mentioned on the discharge summary, which can be presented at the time of making the appointment.

Your doctor will most likely conduct follow-up appointments for a short while, depending on your condition. However, more information on medical tests and follow-up appointments will be provided at the time of discharge.

Day care surgery is a good option for minor procedures that require the patient to only be hospitalized for a day, and be discharged by evening. You will most likely have follow-ups appointments and medical tests, to ensure that your recovery at home is smooth. More information will be provided at the time of discharge.

Visitors Information

The visiting hours are from 5 pm – 7 pm for our in-patient units. However, one attendant is permitted to stay with the patient at all times.

We encourage visitors to keep a few things in mind.

  1. Only two visitors are allowed at the patient’s bedside, at a time.
  2. Any children visiting must be supervised by adults, to ensure they are safe and exhibit calm and quiet behavior.
  3. Protect and respect the privacy of all patients in the hospital.
  4. Speak quietly and limit noise of electronic appliances.
  5. Safeguard all your valuables.
  6. Follow the specified instructions of each ward.
  7. Avoid fiddling with medical appliances around you.

Visitors’ bags are inspected at the entrance, to ensure that the following items are not present. If the staff inside finds any visitor in possession of these restricted items, appropriate action will be taken.

  2. Cigarettes or tobacco
  3. Drugs
  4. Alcohol
  5. Private arms
  6. Flammable items
  7. Flowers
  8. Valuable commodities

The intercom system access can be provided at the helpdesk in the hospital.

  1. Only one attendant is permitted to be with the patient outside of visiting hours.

Sai hospital has a canteen that is open to visitors and attendants. Patients are kept on a strict diet enforced by the hospital, with their meals being delivered by the catering service.

Sai Hospital is proud to announce that our entire campus is smoke-free.

Children are allowed to visit, as long as they are supervised by an adult. However, it must be noted that they must remain calm and quiet, and not be allowed to run free. Children under 18 years of age are not permitted to act as the caretaker of the patient.
